LEFT ("we", "our", or "the app") is a nutrition tracking application developed by Mindfork Labs. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with transparency and care.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.
Information We Collect

- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and optionally your email address if you choose to share it.
- Health and Nutrition Data: Food logs, meal entries, calorie counts, macronutrient data, hydration logs, and weight entries that you input into the app.
- Profile Information: Age, height, weight, gender, and activity level used to calculate your nutritional goals.
- Device Information: Basic device identifiers for app functionality and debugging purposes.
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to:
- Provide personalized nutrition tracking and calorie calculations
- Sync your data across your devices when signed in
- Calculate your daily energy expenditure (TDEE) and nutritional goals
- Generate insights and trends about your nutrition habits
- Improve our app and AI-powered food parsing
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:
- Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
- We use Supabase, a secure cloud database platform, for data storage
- Authentication is handled through Apple's secure Sign in with Apple service
- Your data is stored locally on your device and synced to the cloud only when you're signed in
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal health data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and app improvement. We may also share data when required by law or to protect our legal rights.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase: Cloud database and authentication services
- OpenRouter/AI Services: For parsing natural language food descriptions (only the text you enter is processed; no personal identifiers are sent)
- Apple Sign In: For secure authentication
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Delete: Delete your account and all associated data through Settings > Account > Delete Account, or by emailing us
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
LEFT is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
